A Selection of Beaches to Visit

Praia Dos Salgados -
is a very large and sandy beach with dunes that separate it from the Salgados natural reserve.
Praia Da Gale
- consists of several smaller beaches split by rocky formations. A pleasant walk along these beaches is possible for the more adventurous
Praia Manuel Lorenco - is a quiet and partially rocky beach. Rocks form little pools where one can explore for sea life
Praia Do Evaristo
- is quite famous amongst the Portuguese upper class, it is located near the highly regarded "Casa do Castelo Club"

- stands in beautiful scenery, trapped between the ocean and rocky cliffs.
Praia Do Coelha - another beautiful beach enclosed by
rocky cliffs, there's a long but pleasant stroll to reach the shore
Praia De Sao Rafael - is the preferred beach for many with its large
sandy beach encircled by beautiful scenery
Praia Dos Arrifes - is the smallest of the Albufeira beaches
Marina De Albufeira - not a beach but Albufeira marina has earned a blue flag for the excellent quality of its facilities.
It is a lovely place to visit; even if you don't own a boat!
Praia Do Penedo -
is Albufeira old town's main beach. The tall boulder standing on the beach sets the famous scenery of the town and gives the name to the beach
Praia Dos Pescadores - means fishermen's beach because of the presence of some small and typical fishing boats here.
Praia Do Inatel -
this beach stands between Praia dos Pescadores and Praia do Forte S. Joao, The old Inatel hotel sits on the shore here
Praia Do Forte Sao Joao - also known as Praia dos Alemaes. It marks the end of the shoreline that starts at the feet of Albufeira old town beach, the Praia do Penedo
Praia Dos Aveiros - a very small and calm beach mainly used by people staying at the nearby hotel. A diving school is available here
Praia Da Oura - the famous golden beach of Praia da Oura is probably one of the most frequented by tourists in Albufeira.
It is the main beach from the well know 'Strip' area.
Praia De Santa Eulalia - is probably one of the best of Albufeira beaches
thanks to its size, gorgeous environment and proximity to the city.
Praia Maria Luisa -
another very pleasant beach. It stands between Santa Eulalia and Olhos D'Agua
Praia dos Olhos D'Agua - is truly a beautiful; landscape to this coastline.
Here you will find restaurants serving fresh fish, sea food and other Portuguese specialities.
Praia do Barranco Das Belharuca - marks the beginning of the long Falesia beach
Praia da Falesia - one of the most famous beaches 'The Cliff Beach'. Its panorama is magnificent
Praia da Rocha - is better known as Praia dos Tomates. It is a favourite amongst the Portuguese people and their children
