Guia
Villa Miradouro is situated in a quiet area of Guia and is ideally situated for a peaceful holiday but is still within easy reach of Guia village, beaches, golf courses , shopping and entertainment.

Within the village (350metres away from the villa) you will find most of the services you may need, including many good restaurants – some of which serve the famous Chicken Piri Piri.

Services include: bank, cash point, chemist, medical centre, dentist, hairdresser, bakery, café, 2 supermarkets, butcher, market, post office, wine merchants.

The village of Guia is only 7 Km from the centre of Albufeira (approx 7 Euros by taxi) and 4.5Km from some of the best beaches – Praia da Gale, Salgados and many others. 

There is easy access to Portimao (28Km), Faro (32Km), Salgados Golf (7Km) and Vilamoura golf courses (15Km).  The main road to Lisbon is just 15Km east down the EN125.  Airport to villa transfer time is approximately 20-25 minutes.  The Spanish border is approx 70Kms (East) from Faro airport. (If you are going to make a trip to Spain,  please ensure you inform your car hire company for insurance purposes).

The Zoo Marina is just 1 Km on the way to Portimao.  1Km in the direction of Faro you will find the Algarve Shopping Centre with a hypermarket which has everything you need; fresh fruit and veg, fresh meat and fish, a fantastic delicatessant counter with cooked meats right through to clothes and shoes (it's a bit like a large Sainsbury's store only better!!!   You will also find well known designer shops in the Centre, including some lovely shoe shops.  The restaurants range from A La Carte to fast food restaurants (including MacDonald's/Kentucky etc.), There's also a cinema and a bowling alley.

During August there is a Chicken Festival and a Religious Festival.  There is also a monthly market and an annual fair in October.

SIR CLIFF RICHARD'S Villa and vineyards (Vida Nova) is a two minute walk from the villa.  There are regular guided tours around the Vida Nova vineyards and wine cellars where you can sample SIR CLIFF'S wine.

The Algarve:
The Algarve is Portugal's most southern province. It experiences more than 3,000 hours
of sunshine a year.

With more than 100 miles of sandy beaches and and enough hidden coves to satisfy the
most ardent sun worshipper.....The Algarve provides the ultimate base for relaxation but
also boasts many sports facilities including some world class golf courses.  A golfer's
heaven!

You will find picturesque fishing villages with colourful fishing fleets who provide the finest, fresh seafood for many of the excellent restaurants in the region.

The largest resorts on the Algarve are Albufeira, Vilamoura and Praia Da Rocha these
offer a wide variety of bars restaurants and nightlife.
